Tancredo
In the last week, Tom Tancredo wrote a letter to President Bush in which he questioned how the Bush administration is dealing with immigration and offered his services in developing an improved strategy. His primary concern with immigration is not the issue of illegal hispanic immigrants, but the threat of terrorists slipping in. In the press release, it was stated that "According to testimony, of the 1,049,872 immigrants granted U.S. citizenship under Citizenship USA, a whopping 71,557 were later found to have FBI criminal records, including INS administrative actions, and misdemeanor and felony arrests and convictions". This poses a significant threat to the safety of the US, and Tancredo admits he would like to investigate what, or who, is allowing so many "fradulent, dangerous naturalizations".

I think Tancredo is right in pursuing the details of those illegal citizens allowed naturalization. Although some see Tancredo as a immigration fanatic, one must admit that it is not outrageous to see a politician like him since there is great concern for the safety of the United States. It is frightening to think that a terrorist can enter through the Tijuana Border. I respect Tancredo for pursuing the safety of The U.S by focusing on the borders.
